Joshua-Michele Ross is a conceptual and sound-based artist whose work explores time, ecology, and the restorative power of listening. Now devoted full-time to his longstanding art practice, he invites people to slow down, encounter new perspectives, and deepen their connection with the world around them.
His practice shares a thread with his work in business: an interest in unlocking human potential and creating conditions for transformation. Joshua joined SYPartners in 2016, working with senior leaders at organizations including Pfizer, Ralph Lauren, the Brooklyn Museum, Microsoft, and JPMorgan Chase. Today, he sis an advisor to the firm.
Joshua’s artwork has been exhibited in the U.S. and internationally, including at Headlands Center for the Arts, the Tang Teaching Museum, and Mengi in Reykjavík. In 2023, he received an Andy Warhol Foundation grant through his ongoing residency with Grand Central Art Center. He lives and works in Oakland, California.
