Majid Al Qassimi

Sheikh Dr. Majid Al Qassimi is a founding partner at SOMA MATER, serving as an independent change agent advancing a sustainable food future in the Middle East. As a strategic advisor on food security and sustainability, he works with governments and the private sector to drive innovative solutions. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Saint Istvan University, Budapest. With over a decade in the UAE government, his experience spans conservation, biodiversity, environmental policy, trade, and agriculture. He brings a holistic, “whole-of-country” approach to food systems and is a strong advocate for STEM, veterinary education, and youth engagement.
