Susan Burrows, SVP, People Operations and Flourishing


Susan Burrows is motivated by helping people reach their full potential, providing human-centered leadership and encouragement along their journey. As SVP, People Operations and Flourishing at SYPartners, Susan leads a People team focused on creating the systems and conditions necessary for SYP employees to grow and flourish.

She began her tenure at SYPartners over 17 years ago with a focus on client engagements, working with organizations such as Starbucks, Nike, Target, and IBM, before switching her focus to internal initiatives and building a people function representative of SYPartners’ core values. Prior to joining SYP, Susan worked in content development and event production at The VanHeyst Group, Program Management at Walmart, and in the nonprofit sector with a focus on sustainability. She is also a Certified Mental Health First Responder.

Susan holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Brown University in Environmental Studies and Organizational Behavior & Management. Outside of work, Susan stays busy keeping up with her 3 boys and loves to be outside—running, biking, hiking, and swimming in her “backyard” of Marin County. She also enjoys adventure travel and is an avid Bay Area sports fan.
