Our story started in 1994 when a few friends who met at Apple reunited to launch a communications and design firm in San Francisco. But our aspiration always nudged us toward work that could make a bigger impact.

So we expanded into business strategy and innovation consulting for a diverse portfolio of Fortune 100 clients. We opened an office in New York City. We began working alongside leaders in the not-for-profit sector, to broaden our impact. We became a founding member of kyu—a new kind of collective that brings together best-in-class creative firms to propel society forward. We also opened our first international office, in Abu Dhabi.

Today, we continue to seek out new challenges facing leaders and their teams everywhere. We’re a team of tireless optimists, thinkers, and makers, united in our fight to activate organizations for both humanity and performance—a movement that’s 30 years in the making.
