Sarah Malachowsky, SVP, Chief of Staff


Sarah is a Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Office of the CEO and Chair at SYPartners. She comes from a role on the Strategy team, with a focus on the nexus of organizational design, culture, and impact. She has worked on large-scale corporate transformation and societal movement strategy with leaders at IBM, the Emerson Institute, American Express, AARP, and the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation, among others.

Prior to this position, she spent her career pursuing different forms of impact—from gender-based violence programs in Colombian conflict zones with Mercy Corps, to impact investing in Pakistan with Acumen, and venture capital in Zimbabwe with the Columbia Business School.

Outside of SYPartners, Sarah advises a number of philanthropic efforts and non-profits, including the wonderful Lower East Side Girls Club and Justice Defenders. Sarah holds a Masters Degree from the School of International Public Affairs at Columbia University and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Southern California.
