Steve Semelsberger

President, Products

Steve joined SYPartners to help build transformative digital products. His work covers both SYPartners’ branded products (like Unstuck) and joint initiatives with leading global companies. A lifelong student of the intersection of organizational, leadership, and personal growth, he experiences wondrous enthusiasm by the impact of SYPartners’ products, team, and clients.

Steve is also the Founder of Alder Growth Partners, which provides advisory services, boutique consulting, and seed capital to leaders of technology companies of all sizes. Alder’s clients include Nikon, the Linux Foundation, Spiceworks, OutboundEngine, Testlio, and FoundersCard. To further assist early-stage startup CEOs with growth initiatives, Steve serves as a Partner at Capital Factory and a Mentor at Techstars.

His previous experience also includes general management (SVP & GM, Social Products for Demand Media) and functional management (VP, Sales & Business Development for Pluck), along with product management, marketing, and alliances positions with Motive (now part of Alcatel) and iChat (now part of Apple). In parallel, Steve built the Entrepreneurship curriculum at Concordia University, Texas as an adjunct professor.

Steve holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Spain’s IESE, along with a BS in management from Binghamton University. A father of three boys, he spends a good deal of his time outdoors with family and friends.
