Jia Jia Liu
Jia Jia draws energy from solving complex challenges holistically: designing for human behavior as well as institutional and business systems; activating the power of experience, imagination and logic; and prototyping strategy to refine strategy and its outputs.
As a Partner based in Abu Dhabi, she leads teams in the Middle East to imagine, build out, and scale systemic transformation in education, culture, and business. Jia Jia has also worked extensively with corporate and NGO clients from SYPartners’ New York office, including Ralph Lauren, IBM, and The Legal Defense Fund.
Jia Jia has a broad background in marketing and communications, which she established early in her career as a WPP Fellow. Prior to her current role in Abu Dhabi, she led brand and marketing teams in fashion retail—first at luxury online platform SSENSE and then at Canadian-based retailer Aritzia.
Jia Jia has lived and worked in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and is fluent in Mandarin, French, Spanish, and English. She earned a B.A. in Romance Languages & Literatures and East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and a Masters in Marketing & Communications from Sciences Po in Paris. She is also a Millennium Fellow with the Atlantic Council.
Outside of work she enjoys taking long walks, dancing hip hop, playing video games, and exploring fan culture.
