The Role

The Senior Manager of Learning and Flourishing is a new role on our growing Learning & Flourishing team. We are passionate about fostering growth and unlocking potential, and this role will help build a thriving employee experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion at its core.

The primary objective of the role is to enable all employees to not just successfully perform but achieve growth and development. Equal parts coach, planner, and maker, this role will collaborate with leaders and people managers to create and lead key projects focused on learning and talent, and growth development.

Candidate Profile

  • You build trust and rapport quickly by listening deeply and knowing how to attune your approach to meet people where they are at.
  • You don’t shy away from data and feel comfortable using it to communicate a story.
  • You are a natural builder and adaptable, quickly shifting from high-level strategic planning to tactical execution. You navigate through ambiguity with a natural ability to prioritize and manage all the moving pieces.

The work you’ll do

  • Direct the transformation and re-imaging of our performance management, growth pathways, and talent review process. Drive long-term strategic vision for achieving equitable performance management outcomes as a part of the total employee lifecycle equity strategy.
  • Partner with management teams in leading strategic learning and growth planning initiatives including and not limited to, learning and development programming, talent reviews, performance management (including outlining and updating role level expectations, optimizing the performance review process, facilitating calibrations, analyzing performance outcomes), growth plans, retention strategies, and employee communications.
  • Create and lead organizational change efforts that impact people, and support leaders with communicating these changes (e.g., rolling out a new performance rating and goal setting structure).
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders, managers, and employees around all aspects of growth planning and performance management including effective ongoing continuous feedback, goal setting, career pathing, and promotion planning.
  • Steward projects resulting in the creation of high-quality and impactful learning experiences for SYPeas (e.g., onboarding, manager training, DE&I, leadership development, etc).
  • Translate subject matter expertise and theory into learning experiences that drive engagement, behavior change, and business impact. Develop skills assessments and learning progress metrics (KPIs).
  • Design and facilitate live and virtual live learning experiences (e.g. webinars, workshops, games, simulations, etc).
  • Manage key HR systems and data tracking, including learning, feedback, and performance management platforms; evaluate vendors and implement other systems as needed to accommodate expanding learning and talent processes.
  • Perform audits and assess our growth and performance management processes and approaches for equity, consistency, and transparency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent people-focused roles (e.g., Human Resources Business Partner, organizational development, talent development, performance management, etc.). Preferred: 2+ years of experience as a direct people manager. 
  • Experience building and running inclusive HR processes and policies in an environment that prioritizes DE&I and integrates inclusive practices into people programs.
  • Experience in highly collaborative, team environments. 
  • Fluency in project management skills and tools
